Committed to promote the Indian classical culture, as well as the Indian classical artists of Indian & non-Indian origin, the Swar Arpan Foundation regularly organizes various festivals in India, Romania and across the world. Niranand is one such festival which is annually held in India. The first edition of the festival hosted eminent artists, such as the renowned sitarist Shahana Bannerjee & the enchanting kathak danseuse Sangita Chatterjee.

The public was therefore able to enjoy the melodious tune of the sitar, and the dynamic rhythms  of kathak .  Distinguished guests from Indiaand Romania were present at the event, such as Mr. Radu Octavian Dobre (Chargé d'Affaires Romanian Embassy in India & Acting Ambassador) as chef guest, Mrs. Daniela Dobre (political counselor, Romanian Embassy in India), Ms. Deepa Antil (Chairperson of Nari Sashad Parishad) and Mr. Mujtaba Hussain (Proffesor of Punjabi University, flutist) as guests of honour.

We are happy to share with you some glimpses of the festival:
